Very quiet atmosphere. Prices were a little higher than what I'd expect for the area. Food was okay. Seems like a popular hangout for locals. Overall, a much better choice than a chain restaurant!

I would give it a 4 star. However, the waitress is so in your face and down right rude when asked a simple question about the menu. " honey, you don't expect to get that for that price!"
No, I am just trying to read menu. Just bring me whatever that lady has. I can't stand places where you feel guilty for inconveniencing the wait staff for the pleasure of giving them money!
The new owners hopefully will take note. That waitress is your face to the customers -

Looking for a small-town cafe with better than average food? Then try the Avon Cabin Cafe.
The wraps, hand-pattied hamburgers, waffle fries, and sweets are all great here. It has a cabin-like atmosphere and the service is typical small-town friendly. They serve breakfast all day... can there be anything better than that?
On the downside, you have to visit only for breakfast or lunch, as they close in the afternoon and aren't open for supper. Also, they don't take credit cards. I was almost caught without being able to pay. Bring cash.
The restaurant has daily specials, and I've never been disappointed. -

It was my first visit to Avon Cabin Cafe, and I can guarantee that you won't leave hungry! I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The fries were cooked perfectly and the burger was made with fresh ground beef, it was juicy and topped two thick slabs of bacon. I wish the bun had been a little larger to better accommodate the goodness that was inside. I was pleasantly surprised, and I will definitely make a return trip.
